The dense canopy overhead, the distant call of wildlife somewhere out of sight — it's clear almost immediately why Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is considered one of the most immersive parks anywhere.

Soar over Pandora—The World of Avatar on Avatar Flight of Passage, brave a Himalayan trek gone wrong aboard Expedition Everest—Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, or spot lions and giraffes on Kilimanjaro Safaris. Calling this a theme park barely covers it — it's closer to stepping into a fully realised world.

Nature does the storytelling here, the adventure never feels staged, and there's always something waiting further down the trail.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park spreads across five distinctly themed lands, all connected to the lush central hub of Discovery Island.

Discovery Island

Discovery Island sits at the centre of it all, anchored by the unmistakable Tree of Life. Wander its trails to spot intricate carvings and animals tucked into unexpected corners, alongside shops and dining scattered throughout.

Pandora - The World of Avatar

Home to the celebrated Avatar Flight of Passage and the calmer Na'vi River Journey, this is your entry point to the bioluminescent moon of Pandora — floating mountains overhead, strange alien life all around you.

Oasis

Step through the gates and into a green, winding welcome zone — the first taste of animal habitats and immersive natural storytelling that defines the rest of the park.

Africa

A lively village that opens onto the sweeping plains of Kilimanjaro Safaris. Here, the rhythm, culture, and wildlife of East Africa come through in live entertainment, markets, and unforgettable animal encounters.

Asia

Legend and adventure collide here — home to Expedition Everest—Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, the churning rapids of Kali River Rapids, and the dense, mysterious paths of the Maharajah Jungle Trek.

Tropical Americas - Coming Soon in 2027

Central and South America's cultures, landscapes, and wildlife are heading to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The new land will introduce an Encanto-inspired attraction built around the film's music, magic, and family at its core, alongside a reimagined Indiana Jones experience bringing fresh adventure to the storytelling. Replacing the former DinoLand U.S.A., Tropical Americas represents the next big step forward for the park — new environments, new attractions, and new experiences for every generation.

Did you know?

The Tree of Life is home to more than 300 hand-carved animals, many of which you can spot up close along the Discovery Island Trails.
